Volumetric particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) uncertainty quantification [PDF]
We introduce the first comprehensive approach to determine the uncertainty in volumetric Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) measurements. Volumetric PTV is a state-of-the-art non-invasive flow measurement technique, which measures the velocity field by recording successive snapshots of the tracer particle motion using a multi-camera set-up.

Feature Tracking Velocimetry Applied to Airborne Measurement Data from Murg Creek
A new image feature tracking velocimetry is presented and tested on airborne video data available from a previous study at Murg Creek (Canton Thurgau, Switzerland). Here, the seeded flow scenery had been recorded by an off-the-shelf action camera mounted

River Velocity through LSPTV Technique using UAVs
This paper presented the analysis of the difference between two techniques for the measurement of the velocity of water flows using the non-intrusive large-scale particle tracking velocimetry technique (LS PTV) and various intrusive techniques like ...

Revisiting the NASA surface tension driven convection experiments
Marangoni effect plays an important role in many industrial applications where a surface tension gradient induces fluid flow, e.g., the cleaning process of silicon wafers and the welding process of melted metal.

New Algorithms in Particle Tracking Velocimetry
New algorithms have been implemented and tested for the use in particle tracking velocimetry (PTV). These new algorithms have been introduced mainly in the part of particle tracking itself, but as well as in the preceding part of individual particles extraction.

Particle image reconstruction for particle detection in particle tracking velocimetry [PDF]
Abstract A new methodology for particle identification and localization in the context of particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) is presented. The aim is to overcome the issue of inherent detection errors under high particle density conditions.

X-Ray imaging method for in-situ study of particle-laden flows
The accurate measurement of flow parameters often depends on sensor accessibility. Optical flow assessment techniques, such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV), are limited to optically transparent media. However,
