Transport of particles to surfaces
Journal of Aerosol Science, 1973Abstract The rate of deposition of particles to smooth extended surfaces and horizontal filter paper has been measured in a large wind tunnel. The particles used covered the size range from 0·08 to 30 μm and the effect of wind speed was also investigated.

Transport of Charged Particles
2016Charged particles that play an important role in radiotherapy include electrons, positrons, protons, and carbon ions. Other ions with relatively small atomic numbers are presently being considered as possible alternatives to proton and carbon-ion beams. Charged heavy recoils can also be produced in nuclear reactions.

Quantization of particle transport
Physical Review B, 1983The integrated particle current produced by a slow periodic variation of the potential of a Schr\"odinger equation is evaluated. It is shown that in a finite torus the integral of the current over a period can vary continuously, but in an infinite periodic system with full bands it must have an integer value.

Particle confinement times in present day controlled fusion devices are typically less than a tenth of the discharges’ duration, and this fraction will decrease in future machines with larger discharge times. Thus it is important to study the mechanism of the recycling of neutral atoms and molecules formed as plasma ions strike device walls at the ...

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1991
A model for collision processes between mags and tails particles in OGMS (open gradient magnetic separation) has been developed. This model gives a tool for the prediction of the outcome of a separation process, taking into account such parameters as stream thickness, stream deflection, and particle shapes.
