Smart Inertial Particles

open access: yes, 2018
We performed a numerical study to train smart inertial particles to target specific flow regions with high vorticity through the use of reinforcement learning algorithms.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

On-Site Sensitive Colorimetry for Free Cyanide by Using Ion-Pair Solid-Phase Extraction with Sedimentable Dispersed Particulates and Mobile Photography Box

open access: yesMolecules
We propose a sensitive and simple colorimetric method using dispersed particle extraction for the highly sensitive detection of free cyanide in water samples.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

THE EFFECT OF CAVITATION TREATMENT ON THE EXTINGUISHING OF PARTICLES OF OILS IN FUEL BOILERS

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Проблемы энергетики, 2019
The difficulties of burning the watered fuel oil used at the TPP as a reserve fuel for boilers are associated with its preparation by heating to reduce viscosity and the choice of a method of spraying with nozzles into the combustion zone. The quality of

Semiclassical dynamics of Dirac and Weyl particles in rotating coordinates

open access: yes, 2017
The semiclassical kinetic theory of Dirac particles in the presence of external electromagnetic fields and global rotation is established. To provide the Hamiltonian formulation of Dirac particles a symplectic two-form which is a matrix in spin indices ...

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Local influence of boundary conditions on a confined supercooled colloidal liquid

open access: yes, 2010
We study confined colloidal suspensions as a model system which approximates the behavior of confined small molecule glass-formers. Dense colloidal suspensions become glassier when confined between parallel glass plates.

Ion-induced nucleation of pure biogenic particles

open access: yesNature, 2016
Atmospheric aerosols and their effect on clouds are thought to be important for anthropogenic radiative forcing of the climate, yet remain poorly understood.
