A Cradle‐to‐Gate Life Cycle Assessment of Sustainable All‐Cellulose Composites Using Imidazolium‐Based Ionic Liquid

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, Volume 10, Issue 10, October 2026.
All‐cellulose composites produced from cotton textiles were evaluated for sustainability and mechanical performance. Adding dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) to the ionic liquid 1‐ethyl‐3‐methylimidazolium acetate (EMIM OAc) reduced environmental burdens while preserving high stiffness.

Evolutions of Non‐oxygenated Compounds in Sunlit Subarctic Thermokarst Pond Surface Waters

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 18, 28 September 2026.
Abstract With global climate change, ground subsidence caused by permafrost thawing leads to the formation of thermokarst ponds, where organics from eroding permafrost accumulate in part as dissolved organic matter (DOM). Surface waters were collected from two subarctic thermokarst ponds with distinct characteristics: one palsa‐affected pond, which is ...
