Ionic liquids with asymmetric thioether-TFSI anions: Thermal properties and gas separation
A straightforward and efficient thiol-ene Michael addition “click” chemistry route was developed to introduce asymmetry into the TFSI anion, enabling the synthesis of four ionic liquids (ILs) by coupling 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium (EMIM) cation with ...

A Soft, Flexible Implant for Wireless Photothermal–Pyroelectric Neurostimulation
A replication strategy is used to enlarge the exposed surface area of barium titanate within flexible films with embedded carbon nanotubes, enabling efficient photothermal‐pyroelectric stimulation. Polar crystalline nanosheets show superior performance in guiding neural progenitor cells toward neuronal differentiation.

This work proposed a pollen‐enhanced bionic mechanoreceptor based on ionic convection. Leveraging the ion anchoring effect of the pollen particle, the output performance could be ∼12 times higher than the original state. By employing deep learning models as AI brains, the feasibility of a sensory‐augmented prosthesis consisting of a pollen‐enhanced ...

Acoustic waves in a halfspace material filled with random particulate
Particulate materials include powders, emulsions, composites, and many others. This is why measuring these has become important for both industry and scientific applications. For industrial applications, the greatest need is to measure dense particulates,

Factors influencing martensite transitions in Fe-based shape memory alloys
Fe-14Mn-6Si-9Cr-5Ni (mass %) shape memory alloy (SMA) specimens were obtained by powder metallurgy in as-blended state (0_MA) and with particle volume fractions of 10 and 20 % MA’d powders, respectively.
