Tuning Reactivity in Cu/TEMPO Catalyzed Alcohol Oxidation Reactions

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
Novel copper(I) complexes bearing a secondary amine moiety (CuL3) or an additional non‐innocent functionality with intact imine group (Cu2L42) were synthesized and tested towards oxidation reactions. Several intermediates, such as Cu(III)2(bis‐μ‐oxo) and Cu(II)2(bis‐μ‐hydroxo), species were trapped and spectroscopically characterized.

Sex‐Based Differences in Prenatal and Perinatal Predictors of Autism Spectrum Disorder Using Machine Learning With National Health Data

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder influenced by genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors. ASD is characterized by a higher prevalence in males compared to females, highlighting the potential role of sex‐specific risk factors in its development.

Advanced Characterization of Lithium‐Ion Battery Electrolytes Using Ultra‐high Resolution Mass Spectrometry and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Electricity storage is vital for the renewable energy transition, with lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) as the leading technology. The LIB electrolyte composition determines their performance, lifespan, and charging capacity. Sensitive to water, LIB electrolytes require inert conditions for their analysis.

The feasibility of pharmacokinetic‐based dosing of hydroxyurea for children with sickle cell anaemia in Uganda: Baseline results of the alternative dosing and prevention of transfusions trial

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Pharmacokinetic (PK)‐guided dosing of hydroxyurea for children with sickle cell anaemia (SCA) could optimize dosing and improve outcomes, but its feasibility has not been demonstrated in low‐resource settings where the majority of affected children live.

Actual Versus Potential Impact: Leveraging Life Cycle Assessment to Implement Business Models for Sustainability

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Research on business models for sustainability (BMfS) has primarily focused on the conceptual aspects and sustainability potential of BMfS rather than their actual impact. There is a need to understand whether BMfS have less environmental impact on society than conventional business models and in what context and conditions they can reduce ...
