Adhesion‐Driven Removal of Microplastics From Aquatic Systems by Using Microgel Glues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Soft polymeric microgels function as “glues” that aggregate diverse microplastics through multivalent adhesion, promoting their interfacial deposition and co‐precipitation for efficient removal from water. Remarkably, this approach remains effective even for nanoscale plastic particles as small as 50 nm.

METODOLOGIE GEOCHIMICHE DI ANALISIDEL PARTICOLATO SOLIDO AERODISPERSOE VALUTAZIONE DEI CONTRIBUTI ANTROPICI E NATURALI

open access: yes, 2012
The particulate matter is a complex mixture of liquid and solid particles in a suspension. The chemical composition of the particles can be very different depending on the emission sources: anthropogenic (combustion, industrial emissions…) or natural ...

Fluoroacetonitrile‑Based Gel Polymer Electrolytes for Fast‑Charging Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A gel polymer electrolyte using fluoroacetonitrile (FAN) as the solvent and fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) and LiNO3 as additives is proposed for fast‐charging lithium metal batteries. These additives are preferentially reduced on the lithium metal anode surface to form a stable SEI layer, effectively suppressing the reductive decomposition of FAN.

Photodissolution and Other Photochemical Changes upon Irradiation of Algal Detritus

open access: yes, 2009
Several recent lines of literature point toward strong photoreactivity of phytoplanktonic detritus. We examined effects of irradiation of algal membrane fragments in various stages of decay, with emphasis on transfer of materials from solid to dissolved ...

Decoding Undesirable Inflammatory Responses of Nucleic Acid‐Delivering Lipid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) enable efficient nucleic acid delivery, but their immunogenicity is a double‐edged sword. This review explores LNP‐driven innate and adaptive immunity, covering lipid components, endosomal escape, and nucleic acid sensing.

Geometry‐Controlled Assembly of Self‐Standing Nanorods With Undisturbed Plasmonics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports a geometry‐driven assembly strategy to vertically align Au@Ag core–shell nanorods on PS beads. This well‐defined architecture enables the preservation of the intrinsic optical response of individual nanorods. Thus, demonstrate a highly reproducible SERS enhancement with exceptional uniformity.

Non‐Destructive, Reference‐Free Quantitative Analysis of TaOx Memristive Devices Using Soft X‐Ray Radiation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A non‐destructive, quantitative approach has been developed to explore the nanoscale dynamics of TaOx‐based memristive devices. The utilization of nano‐X‐ray fluorescence analysis enables the direct probing of spatially resolved elemental distributions, including those present in buried layers, that are critical for the resistive switching.
