Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

A Soft, Flexible Implant for Wireless Photothermal–Pyroelectric Neurostimulation
A replication strategy is used to enlarge the exposed surface area of barium titanate within flexible films with embedded carbon nanotubes, enabling efficient photothermal‐pyroelectric stimulation. Polar crystalline nanosheets show superior performance in guiding neural progenitor cells toward neuronal differentiation.

The interfacial stability and activity of Ni‐Fe‐based AEMWE anodes can be directly enhanced by operando voltage‐cycling in a FeOOH‐containing electrolyte. This process simultaneously induces Ni oxidation and Fe incorporation, forming an integrated, porous (Fe, Ni)OOH layer with high conductivity and durability.

Review of source analyses of ambient volatile organic compounds considering reactive losses: methods of reducing loss effects, impacts of losses, and sources [PDF]
Chemical losses of ambient reactive volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is a long-term issue yet to be resolved in VOC source apportionments. These losses substantially reduce the concentrations of highly reactive species in the apportioned factor profiles
