Particulate organic carbon in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans
Deep Sea Research and Oceanographic Abstracts, 1976Abstract When uniform methods of collection and analysis are employed, particulate organic carbon (POC) distributions in the South Atlantic, South Pacific, and North Pacific oceans are roughly comparable. All three regions display a logarithmic decrease in POC with depth, along with occasional anomalously high values.
