The Significance of Particulate Emissions [PDF]
Fine participates are the subject of increasing concern as one of the major air pollutants. They contribute to smog formation. They are a health hazard because they bypass the respiratory filters and penetrate deep into the lungs, and because they may act synergistically with other pollutants.

Bimetallic Nanoparticles as Cocatalysts for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production
Recent developments have introduced bimetallic nanoparticles as effective cocatalysts for photocatalytic systems. This review explores the rapidly expanding research on bimetallic cocatalysts for photocatalytic production of hydrogen, emphasizing the creation of carrier‐selective contacts, localized surface plasmon resonance effects, methodologies for ...

Health Risk Assessment of NO₂, PM₂.₅ and PM₁₀ Exposure in Children and Adolescents
Chronic exposure to nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), particulate matter (PM₂.₅), and PM₁₀ can have negative impacts on both environmental and human health. This research aimed to determine the levels of NO₂, PM₁₀, and PM₂.₅ pollution in Makassar City and to ...

Particulate contamination in ampoules
Abstract The particulate contamination in 19 formulations of solutions in ampoules supplied by eight South African manufacturers, thirty-three batches in all, was analysed using a HIAC PC 320 light blockage particle analyser linked to a CMB 60 sensor.

Wood‐based broadband blackbody is achieved by reconfiguration of wood with lignin nanoparticles prior carbonization. Neglectable reflectivity from the visible to infrared wavelengths is obtained by combining thin nanostructures originated from the wood cell walls with long‐range microcavities in the wood lumina.

Rotational kinetics of absorbing dust grains in neutral gas [PDF]
We study the rotational and translational kinetics of massive particulates (dust grains) absorbing the ambient gas. Equations for microscopic phase densities are deduced resulting in the Fokker-Planck equation for the dust component.
