ABSTRACT Patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) who are penta‐drug refractory, defined as resistant to two proteasome inhibitors, two immunomodulatory agents, and an anti‐CD38 monoclonal antibody, face a dismal prognosis, particularly after exposure to T‐cell–redirecting therapies.

ABSTRACT Background A causal association between occupational asbestos exposure and lung disease, including pneumoconiosis and mesothelioma, is well established. Elevated mortality among former asbestos miners is expected. However, large‐scale South African studies examining all‐cause mortality in this population are lacking.

ABSTRACT Retirement income systems, such as superannuation, are meant to be non‐discriminatory and consider disadvantage faced by members of society. There are significant differences between the life expectancies of Indigenous and non‐Indigenous peoples. The gap in life expectancies is not considered when determining when Indigenous peoples can retire.
