Bunch technique for semionline with two groups of items
Bunch technique for semionline with two groups of items is proposed in this paper. Algorithm to solve this problem is to distribute items from the first group bunch approach and after that apply LS-algorithm to assign items from the se cond group.

A Conjecture of Han on 3-Cores and Modular Forms
In his study of Nekrasov–Okounkov type formulas on “partition theoretic” expressions for families of infinite products, Han discovered seemingly unrelated q-series that are supported on precisely the same terms as these infinite products.

The partition algebras are algebras of diagrams (which contain the group algebra of the symmetric group and the Brauer algebra) such that the multiplication is given by a combinatorial rule and such that the structure constants of the algebra depend polynomially on a parameter.

This note reports on the number of s-partitions of a natural number n. In an s-partition each cell has the form $2^k-1$ for some integer k. Such partitions have potential applications in cryptography, specifically in distributed computations of the form $a^n$ mod m. The main contribution of this paper is a correction to the upper bound on the number of

For thermal physiologists, calorimetry is an important methodological tool to assess human heat balance during heat or cold exposures. A whole body direct calorimeter remains the gold standard instrument for assessing human heat balance; however, this equipment is rarely available to most researchers. A more widely accessible substitute is partitional

The mean and noise of stochastic gene transcription with cell division
Life growth and development are driven by continuous cell divisions. Cell division is a stochastic and complex process. In this paper, we study the impact of cell division on the mean and noise of mRNA numbers by using a two-state stochastic model of ...

Dynamic research on source and distribution of PAHs in the Qingshuiquan underground river
In recent years, the groundwater pollution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Nanning City has been increasingly serious due to the acceleration of urbanization in this city and its dual water-bearing structure of underground and surface as ...

Artifacts in ultracentrifugal estimation of aqueous fattv acid concentration
Ultracentrifugation for determination of isotropic concentrations of fatty acids is widely used. However, several artifacts, which would affect the isotropic concentration, could occur if care is not taken.
