We introduce a new concept, which we call partition expanders. The basic idea is to study quantitative properties of graphs in a slightly different way than it is in the standard definition of expanders. While in the definition of expanders it is required that the number of edges between any pair of sufficiently large sets is close to the expected ...

Graph partitioning: an updated survey
Graph partitioning problem, which is one of the most important topics in graph theory, usually asks for a partition of the vertex set of a graph into pairwise disjoint subsets with various requirements. It comes from the well-known Max-Cut Problem: Given

Plane Partitions as Sums over Partitions
In this paper, we consider complete homogeneous symmetric functions and provide a new formula for the number of plane partitions of n. This formula expresses the number of plane partitions of n in terms of binomial coefficients as a sum over all the partitions of n, considering the multiplicity of the parts greater than one.

Rényi Entropy and Rényi Divergence in Product MV-Algebras
This article deals with new concepts in a product MV-algebra, namely, with the concepts of Rényi entropy and Rényi divergence. We define the Rényi entropy of order q of a partition in a product MV-algebra and its conditional version ...

A Compressed Data Partition and Loop Scheduling Scheme for Neural Networks
Neural networks (NNs) have been widely adopted in various application domains. Deeper NNs greatly enhance the output accuracy, but complex NNs with more parameters incur intensive memory accesses, and the data usually need to be partitioned since it may ...

An Introduction to Partition Logic [PDF]
Classical logic is usually interpreted as the logic of propositions. But from Boole's original development up to modern categorical logic, there has always been the alternative interpretation of classical logic as the logic of subsets of any given ...
