Influence of physicochemical factors on environmental availability and distribution of semiochemicals that affect Varroa destructor and phylogenetically close organisms: classification by VHWOC PCA-clustering

open access: yesHeliyon, 2019
Varroa destructor parasites Apis mellifera larvae following the interception of the semiochemicals involved in bee communication; thus, the semiochemical availability and distribution pathways take place within different physicochemical environments. The

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

The Determination of Partition Coefficient of 6-Mercaptopurine Derivatives by Thin Layer Chromatography

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2013
Mercaptopurine and its derivatives are used in the treatment of leukemia. To estimate their lipophilicity, a simple and novel thin layer chromatography method was developed. The mobile phase was the mixture of acetonitrile and water.

Microstructure‐Controlled Crack Propagation and Fracture Resistance in MoSiBTiC Alloy Revealed by Multiscale Extended Finite Element Method Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Heat Partition Coefficient and Temperature Variation during Engagement in Multi-disc Clutch

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2020
A finite element model of heat conduction process between the friction components in a multi-disc clutch is setup. With coupled algorithm, the heat partition coefficient between friction components in multi-disc clutch and the temperature variations in ...

Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.
