Discretized Superstring in Three Dimensional Superspace
The partition function of the discretized superstring in a target superspace of three (Euclidean) bosonic dimensions, is shown, for a fixed triangulation of the random world sheet, to be derived from the partition function of a discretized bosonic string

ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Statistical Mechanics of Discrete Multicomponent Fragmentation
We formulate the statistics of the discrete multicomponent fragmentation event using a methodology borrowed from statistical mechanics. We generate the ensemble of all feasible distributions that can be formed when a single integer multicomponent mass is

Normalization of Off-shell Boundary State, g-function and Zeta Function Regularization
We consider the model in two dimensions with boundary quadratic deformation (BQD), which has been discussed in tachyon condensation. The partition function of this model (BQD) on a cylinder is determined, using the method of zeta function regularization.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Complex saddles of charged-AdS gravitational partition function
In this paper, we consider the Euclidean partition function of uncharged and charged AdS d+1 black hole geometries in canonical and grand canonical ensemble for d ≥ 3.

Partition Function of the Schwarzschild Black Hole
We consider a microscopic model of a stretched horizon of the Schwarzschild black hole. In our model the stretched horizon consists of a finite number of discrete constituents.

Calculation of the electrons’ magnetic moment in unmodulated silicene
Background. Recently, the magnetic properties of monolayers of various nanostructures have been extensively studied. As it is known, silicene is a single layer silicon film. Silicene is an analogue of graphene, which has a honeycomb geometric structure.

Conformal gravity 1-loop partition function
We evaluate the 1-loop partition function of conformal gravity in four dimensions around an $AdS_4$ background, using the heat kernel techniques. We give expressions for the relevant thermodynamical quantities and compare our results with the ones from ...

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status
