Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Vene ja eesti üliõpilaste valikud täis- ja osasihitise kasutamisel

open access: yesLähivõrdlusi, 2010
The article compares the use of total and partial objects by L2 and L1 speakers of Estonian. For the purposes of the article, L2 speakers of Estonian are native speakers of Russian who are pursuing a programme of studies in Estonian as a foreign language

Partitions and permutations

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2005
The author is interested in the following problem: what information can we get on a permutation group of degree \(n\) knowing the set (or multiset) of partitions into cycles of its elements? Same question if we only know the set (or multiset) of partitions of \(n\), which arise as cycle partitions of its elements.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Genesis of the Genitive of Negation in Balto-Slavic and Its Evidence in Contemporary Slovenian

open access: yesSlovenski Jezik - Slovene Linguistic Studies, 2019
Genitive of negation is a Balto-Slavic syntactic rule that governs the transformation of accusative complements of transitive verbs or subjects of existential constructions in positive sentences to genitive complements in negative sentences.

Partitive Construction in Russian

open access: yes, 2001
Partitive Case is defined, independently of Possessive Case (which is usually cal1ed Genitive Case), as a semantic case with the property of +P]. [+P] designates not syntagmatic but paradigmatic partitivity. In other words, [+P] designates not part of an

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
