Fragmentation or Recombination at High p_T?

open access: yes, 2004
All hadronization processes, including fragmentation, are shown to proceed through recombination. The shower partons in a jet turn out to play an important role in describing the p_T spectra of hadrons produced in heavy-ion collisions.

Detecting and modeling topography‐induced differences in plant productivity across a grassland ecosystem gradient

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 17, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Understanding spatial variation in grassland productivity is critical for ecological modeling and management. The Great Plains of North America, a vast grassland region east of the Rocky Mountains, exhibits strong gradients in aboveground net primary production (ANPP) linked to precipitation and finer scale topoedaphic variation.

Generalisation of DGLAP equations to massive partons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
DGLAP evolution equations are modified in order to use all the quark families in the full scale range, satisfying kinematical constraints and sumrules, thus having complete continuity for the pdfs and observables.

The Partonic Nature of Instantons

open access: yes, 2009
In both Yang-Mills theories and sigma models, instantons are endowed with degrees of freedom associated to their scale size and orientation. It has long been conjectured that these degrees of freedom have a dual interpretation as the positions of ...

Asymmetric parton distributions [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1997
Applications of perturbative QCD to hard exclusive electroproduction processes in the Bjorken limit at small invariant momentum transfer t bring in a new type of parton distributions which have hybrid properties, resembling both the parton distribution functions and the distribution amplitudes.

A Stochastic Approach to Quantifying the Propagation of Uncertainty in Soil Organic Carbon Content

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, Volume 189, Issue 1, Page 117-130, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Precision agriculture (PA) is a site‐specific management approach that utilises spatiotemporal information to improve productivity while also promoting sustainability. Accurate estimates of soil properties, along with the uncertainty of these estimates, are necessary for decision‐making in PA.

Entanglement negativity of spin-orbit correlations of partons in a general qubit-qudit setup

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
Within a qubit-qudit framework, we studied the negativity as a measure of entanglement for the spin-orbit correlation of partons inside a proton. The entanglement negativity for spin-orbit correlations is found to be related to the gluon helicity PDF ...

Infrared singularities of QCD amplitudes with massive partons

open access: yes, 2009
A formula for the two-loop infrared singularities of dimensionally regularized QCD scattering amplitudes with an arbitrary number of massive and massless legs is derived.

Assessing the intensity of Late Quaternary humid phases in the Nefud Desert, northern Arabia

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, Volume 41, Issue 2, Page 207-218, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The climate history of the major dryland zones of the world, such as the Saharo–Arabian Desert belt, plays a key role in the dispersal of early humans through these intermittently inhospitable regions. Here, we assess the relative intensity of Late Quaternary humid phases in northern Arabia through lithological, geochemical, palaeoecological ...

A subtraction scheme for processes involving fragmentation functions at NLO

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We present a novel subtraction method to remove the soft and collinear divergences at next-to-leading order for processes involving an arbitrary number of fragmentation functions, where this method acts directly in the hadronic centre-of-mass frame.
