No Evidence for Role of Cutavirus in Malignant Melanoma
Cutavirus was previously found in cutaneous melanoma. We detected cutavirus DNA in only 2/185 melanoma biopsies and in 0/52 melanoma metastases from patients in Germany. Viral DNA was localized in the upper epidermal layers.

The members of the family Parvoviridae are among the smallest of the DNA viruses, with a linear single-stranded genome of about 5 kilobases. Currently the family is divided into three genera, two of which contain viruses of vertebrates and a third containing insect viruses.

Splenic Infarction in Acute Cytomegalovirus and Human Parvovirus Concomitant Infection [PDF]
We present a case report of a 35-year-old woman who had splenic infarction. She had persistent high fever, systemic joint pain, and abnormal liver function. She was diagnosed with cytomegalovirus and human parvovirus B19 concomitant infection.
