A THEORY ON AN ESTIMATION OF PASSENGER CAR EQUIVALENTS AND ITS VERIFICATION

道路の交通容量に影響する要因の一つにトラック類の混入がある. 本研究は, 長い距離を有する一本の高速道路を念頭において, トラック類の乗用車換算係数を矛盾なく推定するための一方法を提案するとともに, 本方法を実際の高速道路に適用して検証したものである. 本研究が従来の方法と異なる点は, 幾何構造要因の影響を考慮した補正係数を導入したことである. この補正係数を用いることで, 矛盾のない乗用車換算係数を推定できることを明らかにできた. この推定方法を東名高速道路の約47km区間に埋設されている車両感知器データ (6ヶ月分) に適用した結果, 妥当な推定値を得ることができた.
