CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF ESSENTIAL OILS OF PASSIFLORA EDULIS F. FLAVICARPA AGROINDUSTRIAL WASTE

open access: yesEmirates Journal of Food and Agriculture, 2017
The study of the chemical composition of essential oils of shells and seeds of Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa is discussed. The essential oils were obtained by microwave assisted hydrodistillation (MWHD) as extraction method using Clevenger apparatus. The compounds were separated and identified by gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

Investigation of structural, optical, photocatalytic, and antibacterial properties of ZnO doped GO nanoparticles for environment applications

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, Volume 88, Issue 1, Page 73-91, January 2025.
To remove dust particles adhering to the surfaces of fresh Coleus Amboinicus (CA) leaves, three more washings with purified water were carried out. Karpooravalli is the Tamil name for these leaves. Similarly, any residual moisture was removed from the leaves by exposing them to the sun. During 60 min of boiling at 80°C, 10 grams of the processed leaves

Optimization of in vitro organogenesis in passion fruit (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa) Otimização da organogênese in vitro de maracujazeiro (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa)

open access: yesScientia Agricola, 2005
In vitro organogenesis of passion fruit was studied by the induction of adventitious buds from leaf discs in culture media supplemented with benzyladenine (BAP) or thidiazuron (TDZ). To minimize adverse effects of ethylene accumulation on shoot development, silver nitrate (AgNO3) was added to the induction media. Both BAP (0; 2.2; 4.4; 6.6 µmol L-

Organic Residues in Control of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. passiflorae in Yellow Passion Fruit (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa)

open access: yesActa Biológica Colombiana, 2015
The fusarium is an important disease in yellow passion fruit that causes severe limitation in fruit production and reduced longevity of the orchards. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of organic residues in vitro and in vivo as alternative control in Fusarium of yellow passion fruit, caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. passiflorae.

Large carpenter bees show high dispersal in a tropical semi‐arid region susceptible to desertification

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2024.
This study examines the genetic status of native carpenter bees in a Brazilian region vulnerable to desertification. Employing a population genomic approach, we found low genetic diversity with high homogeneity across populations, even over distances exceeding 300 km.

LC‐ESI‐QTOF‐MS/MS characterization of phenolic compounds in Australian native passion fruits and their potential antioxidant activities

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 12, Issue 4, Page 2455-2472, April 2024.
In this study, we profiled polyphenols and assessed the antioxidant potential of by‐products and consumable parts of four Australian‐native passion fruit cultivars using LC‐ESI‐QTOF‐MS/MS. We identified 61 polyphenols, revealing a rich diversity in phenolic profiles and antioxidant activities among the samples.

Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy of the Infection Process of Fusarium solani f. sp. passiflorae in Seedlings of Passionfruit (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa)
