Tracking climate vulnerability across spatial distribution and functional traits in Magnolia gentryi in the Peruvian tropical montane cloud forest

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, Volume 111, Issue 9, September 2024.
Abstract Premise Understanding the responses of functional traits in tree species to climate variability is essential for predicting the future of tropical montane cloud forest (TMCF) tree species, especially in Andean montane environments where fog pockets act as moisture traps.

LC‐ESI‐QTOF‐MS/MS characterization of phenolic compounds in Australian native passion fruits and their potential antioxidant activities

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 12, Issue 4, Page 2455-2472, April 2024.
In this study, we profiled polyphenols and assessed the antioxidant potential of by‐products and consumable parts of four Australian‐native passion fruit cultivars using LC‐ESI‐QTOF‐MS/MS. We identified 61 polyphenols, revealing a rich diversity in phenolic profiles and antioxidant activities among the samples.
