Soft and Transient Bioelectronics Enabled by Polymer‐Free Ti3C2Tx MXene Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present Ti3C2Tx MXene hydrogel (MXgel) bioelectronics, a soft, flexible, and fully transient platform for high‐fidelity neural recording and stimulation. MXgel bioelectronics exhibit exceptional electrical conductivities, low electrochemical impedances, and high charge injection capacities.

Fabrication of Aligned Polycaprolactone Nanofibrillar Bundles to Control Cell‐Mediated Collagen Deposition in Engineered Cartilage

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Melt electrofibrillation (MEF) enables the fabrication of nanofibrillar PCL scaffolds with defined architectures that guide cellular alignment and retention during cartilage tissue engineering. Unlike conventional melt electrowriting, MEF consistently directs collagen type II‐rich extracellular matrix organization, providing a tunable platform to ...

Tamper‐Responsive Physical Unclonable Functions via Graphene‐Interlayered Block Copolymer Random Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐invalidating multilayer physical unclonable functions (PUFs) integrate fingerprint‐like metal nanopattern bilayers from block copolymer templates with highly reactive reduced graphene oxide (rGO) interlayers. This tamper‐responsive architecture blocks all unauthorized physical and chemical replication attempts while autonomously deactivating ...

Biohybrid Crawling Robot With Spiral‐Spring Backbone and Inclined Legs for Enhanced Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present a biohybrid crawling robot integrating a muscle ring with a flexible skeleton combining two complementary structural elements. The spiral‐spring backbone enables large‐amplitude bending without compromising axial stability, while outward‐inclined legs with unequal front–rear lengths effectively convert deformation into directional strides ...

Charge‐Reversed Lipid Nanoparticles Enable Encapsulation of Pt2L4 Nanocages for In vivo Anti‐Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Charge‐reversed lipid nanoparticles (revLNPs) enable efficient encapsulation and delivery of cationic Pt2L4 nanocages. Encapsulation preserves potent anticancer activity while improving circulation, reducing vascular leakage, and promoting favorable biodistribution in vivo.

Passive flow control of a Francis turbine operating in sand-laden rivers for mitigating sediment erosion

The Physics of Fluids
In a typical Francis turbine operating in sand-laden rivers, owing to its complicated geometry and variable operating conditions, vortex structures appear and cause severe erosion damage to turbine components.

Data-driven approach to design of passive flow control strategies

open access: yes, 2017
An approach to designing passive devices for control of unsteady flows is presented. The method requires only snapshots of the flow to be controlled as inputs.

Passive flow control on suppressing wake switch dynamics of a square-back vehicle

The Physics of Fluids
The square-back vehicle with a specific width/height ratio exhibits a pronounced bi-stable wake characterized by random switching between two asymmetric states, which strongly influences its base pressure and aerodynamic forces.

A critical study on passive flow control techniques for straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine

Energy, 2018
The wind energy has positioned itself as a most promising sustainable energy. The straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbines (SB-VAWTs), as a common turbine for harvesting wind energy, have broad prospects of development.

Passive flow control of a stalled airfoil using an oscillating micro-cylinder

Computers & Fluids, 2019
The effect of passive flow control using an oscillating micro-cylinder near the leading edge of a stalled airfoil (S809) at a Reynolds number of 1 × 106 is numerically investigated.
