An overview of passive optical networks and components [PDF]
Over the past few years, telecommunication networks have experienced a dramatic shift from traditional voice-dominated traffic to data-oriented, application-based traffic. The access network or the last-mile connecting households or businesses to the internet backbone, have been recognized as a major bottleneck in todays network hierarchy.

This study evaluates the scalability of PQD GNC‐based LSCs for BIPV applications. Experimental data and Monte Carlo simulations predict performance up to 1 m2, achieving a peak power conversion efficiency of 3.17%. The results confirm the viability of these LSCs for energy‐efficient building applications.

The effect of a molecular‐level dual‐ionophilic chitosan passivation layer is investigated on a nanostructured paper electrode featuring an interconnected network structure of highly oxygen‐functionalized single‐walled carbon nanotubes (C‐NPE). This molecular coating enabled a high Coulombic efficiency (>99.0%) and stable cycling over 350 cycles at an ...

Biomaterial Strategies for Targeted Intracellular Delivery to Phagocytes
Phagocytes are essential to a functional immune system, and their behavior defines disease outcomes. Engineered particles offer a strategic opportunity to target phagocytes, harnessing inflammatory modulation in disease. By tuning features like size, shape, and surface, these systems can modulate immune responses and improve targeted treatment for a ...
