ON PASSIVE SYSTEMS: FROM LINEARITY TO NONLINEARITY
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992 In this note we study when the passivity of a nonlinear system can be infered from the passivity of the associated first order approximation. Our contribution is the proof that this is possible provided the input vectorfields and output functions of the nonlinear system satisfy some rank and integrability conditions.
