Studies of various topologies of passive magnetic current limiter

International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, 2000
Different topological configurations for a passive magnetic current limiter consisting of a permanent magnet and saturable core are discussed in this paper. The models for a series/parallel biasing mode, and a single/three phase supply system have been fabricated and the experiments have been carried out for the performance evaluation.

Topology Design and Capex Estimation for Passive Optical Networks

Proceedings of the 6th International ICST Conference on Broadband Communications, Networks, and Systems, 2009
Several optical access network technologies are available for network operators providing broadband services (FTTx: Fiber-to-the-X solutions). These technologies are now in deployment phase, therefore network and topology design issues play an increasingly important role.

Generalized passivity of coupled neural networks with directed and undirected topologies

Neurocomputing, 2018
Abstract The generalized passivity is discussed for coupled neural networks (CNNs) with directed and undirected topologies, respectively. Firstly, some generalized passivity definitions are proposed for general systems, in which output and input vectors may have different dimensions.

A novel design for passive misscromixers based on topology optimization method

Biomedical Microdevices, 2016
In this paper, a series of novel passive micromixers, called topological micromixers with reversed flow (TMRFX), are proposed. The reversed flow in the microchannels can enhance chaotic advection and produce better mixing performance. Therefore the maximum of reversed flow is chosen as the objective function of the topology optimization problem ...

Passive optical interconnection network employing a shuffle–exchange topology

Applied Optics, 1994
The design of the optical interconnection network (OIN) system is presented. The network is implemented by the use of only passive optical elements and is based on a shuffle-exchange interconnection pattern. Each passive optical shuffle-exchange stage is designed for cascadability. The OIN switch nodes are capable of broadcast and combine operations in

A novel passive tree topology used in avionics network

2016 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computer and Communications (ICCC), 2016
By replace the fibre channel switch in the switched-fabric topological FC-AE-1553 network with a passive optical splitter, data can be conducted and distributed simultaneously into many destinations. This point-to-multipoint data transmission system need to be constructed for avionics protocol standards, so the FC-AE-1553 protocol stack is expanded ...

Research on selection method of Passive Power Filter topologies

Proceedings of The 7th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference, 2012
Passive Power Filter (PPF) is widely used in power system because of its advantages in performance-price ratio. For PPF, there are several topologies, each of which has different frequency characteristic. In power system, in order to achieve the certain filtering effect, it is necessary to combine different filter topologies.

Compliant Topology Optimization for Planar Passive Flap Micro Valve

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2014
This paper reports the compliant topology optimization for planar passive flap micro valve considering fluid-structure interaction with a monolithic approach. Although flap valve type check valve is easy to manufacture and use for the applications for Bio/Nano/MEMS, its structural optimization has been seldom conducted so far.

Electrotonic properties of passive dendritic trees—effect of dendritic topology

1994
Publisher Summary In this chapter, the role of dendritic geometry in the transduction process are emphasized under the simplifying assumption that the dendrite is in a stable state, i.e. with fixed conductances, capacitances and geometry. Recent studies of dendritic topology have shown that topological variability is specific and that only a fraction

Synchronization of networked passive systems with directed communication topologies

2011 Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC), 2011
The coordination and synchronization problems of networked passive systems with directed communication topologies are discussed in this paper. Compared with previous work in the context of passivity-based control, the development in this paper is for more general directed communication graphs.
