Research on selection method of Passive Power Filter topologies

Proceedings of The 7th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference, 2012
Passive Power Filter (PPF) is widely used in power system because of its advantages in performance-price ratio. For PPF, there are several topologies, each of which has different frequency characteristic. In power system, in order to achieve the certain filtering effect, it is necessary to combine different filter topologies.

Compliant Topology Optimization for Planar Passive Flap Micro Valve

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2014
This paper reports the compliant topology optimization for planar passive flap micro valve considering fluid-structure interaction with a monolithic approach. Although flap valve type check valve is easy to manufacture and use for the applications for Bio/Nano/MEMS, its structural optimization has been seldom conducted so far.

Synchronization of networked passive systems with directed communication topologies

2011 Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC), 2011
The coordination and synchronization problems of networked passive systems with directed communication topologies are discussed in this paper. Compared with previous work in the context of passivity-based control, the development in this paper is for more general directed communication graphs.

Electrotonic properties of passive dendritic trees—effect of dendritic topology

1994
Publisher Summary In this chapter, the role of dendritic geometry in the transduction process are emphasized under the simplifying assumption that the dendrite is in a stable state, i.e. with fixed conductances, capacitances and geometry. Recent studies of dendritic topology have shown that topological variability is specific and that only a fraction

Node-merging method in passive network topology detection

2015 IEEE Advanced Information Technology, Electronic and Automation Control Conference (IAEAC), 2015
In order to establish a clear picture of Internet topology, our Node-Merging Method (NMM) tries to make use of only the protocol information between two nodes, especially the hop count. When remaining the minimum hop of two nodes unchanged, a complex and redundant network, reconstructed by using hop information, can be simplified into a simple one ...

Studies of various topologies of passive magnetic current limiter

International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, 2000
Different topological configurations for a passive magnetic current limiter consisting of a permanent magnet and saturable core are discussed in this paper. The models for a series/parallel biasing mode, and a single/three phase supply system have been fabricated and the experiments have been carried out for the performance evaluation.

A passive regenerative soft-switching converter with the simplest topology

2002 IEEE 33rd Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference. Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37289), 2003
The concept of the passive lossless snubber with a simpler topology is presented. A novel passive regenerative snubber, called a soft snubber, applied to a hard switching converter is proposed. It is based on a conventional L+RDC snubber but discards the loss resistor R, replacing it with an additional auxiliary winding, magnetically coupled with the ...

Shape- and Topology Optimization for Passive Control of Crack Propagation

2015
In this review article the theoretical foundations for shape-topological sensitivity analysis of elastic energy functional in bodies with nonlinear cracks and inclusions are presented. The results obtained can be used to determine the location and the shape of inclusions which influence in a desirable way the energy release at the crack tip.
