Passive ventilation systems for the safe use of hydrogen

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 1996
These are the findings from a computer model study of hydrogen gas leakage in buildings. The gas cloud shape and size was predicted using FLUENT 3.03. This study investigated the influence of building geometry and passive ventilation on the formation of combustible gas clouds.

Safety of Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Evaluation and Perspective from Component Materials to Cells, Modules, and Packs

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

Effects of Crosswinds on the Aerothermal Behaviour of A Double-Skin Façade

open access: yesAnnals of West University of Timisoara: Physics
In double-skin facades, airflow is mainly induced by buoyancy forces due to temperature gradients and air compressibility. In practice, this passive system is also affected by ambient crosswind.

Milestone Attainment in Young Children With Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita: Developmental Profile and Associated Factors

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part C: Seminars in Medical Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Evidence on developmental milestones in children with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) under the age of five is scarce. This multisite cross‐sectional study described developmental status and examined factors associated with milestone attainment in 143 children aged 0–66 months from a pediatric AMC Registry.

A preclinical mouse model mimicking the ovarian cancer‐induced estrogen deficiency‐depression axis

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
A preclinical mouse model of ovarian cancer–related depression was developed by combining intraperitoneal tumor cell injection, ovariectomy, and chronic restraint stress. The model replicates key clinical features including estrogen deficiency, depressive‐like behaviors, and tumor progression, and provides a reliable tool for studying the endocrine ...
