On general weighted cumulative past extropy
In this paper, we study some properties and characterization of the general weighted cumulative past extropy (n-WCPJ). Many results including some bounds, inequalities, and effects of linear transformations are obtained. We study the characterization of n-WCPJ based on the largest order statistics.

Compressive sensing using extropy measures of ranked set sampling [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to consider the extropy measure of uncertainty proposed by Lad, Sanfilippo and Agrò for the problem of compressive sensing. For this purpose, two sampling designs, i.e., simple random sampling (SRS) and a modified version of ...

Ranked set sampling is considered as an alternative to simple random sampling and maximum ranked set sampling is a very useful modification of ranked set sampling. In this paper we focused on information content of ranked set sampling and maximum ranked set sampling with unequal samples in terms of past extropy measure and also considered the ...

Extropy: Complementary Dual of Entropy [PDF]
This article provides a completion to theories of information based on entropy, resolving a longstanding question in its axiomatization as proposed by Shannon and pursued by Jaynes.

Generalized extropy of $k$-Records: properties and applications [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce a generalized measure of extropy based on $k$-records and study its properties. We show that several existing extropies, such as survival, negative cumulative, past and weighted extropy are special cases of this generalized ...

The Ballistic Flight of an Automatic Duck [PDF]
This article analyses Jacques de Vaucanson's automatic duck and its successive appearances in Thomas Pynchon's work (both Mason & Dixon and, by extension, Gravity's Rainbow) to discuss the correlations between (self-) evolving technologies and space age ...

Some properties of cumulative extropy and its dynamic past version
Extropy has been discussed in many works of literature as a complementary dual of Shannon?s entropy function. In this paper, a replacement procedure of uncertainty of random variable, constructed on the cumulative distribution function F, called cumulative extropy is proposed. Some properties and features of the deemed measure are obtained.

On Tsallis extropy with an application to pattern recognition
Recently, a new measure of information called extropy has been introduced by Lad, Sanfilippo and Agr\`o as the dual version of Shannon entropy. In the literature, Tsallis introduced a measure for a discrete random variable, named Tsallis entropy, as a ...

My Brain, my Mind, and I: Some Philosophical Assumptions of Mind-Uploading [PDF]
The progressing cyborgization of the human body reaches its completion point when the entire body can be replaced by uploading individual minds to a less vulnerable and limited substrate, thus achieving "digital immortality" for the uploaded self.
