Pressure dependence of the Verwey transition in magnetite: an infrared spectroscopic point of view [PDF]
We investigated the electronic and vibrational properties of magnetite at temperatures from 300 K down to 10 K and for pressures up to 10 GPa by far-infrared reflectivity measurements.

Periodic solution for nonlinear vibration of a fluid-conveying carbon nanotube, based on the nonlocal continuum theory by energy balance method [PDF]
A nonlinear model is developed for the vibration of a single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) based on Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory. The nanotube is assumed to be embedded in a Pasternak-type foundation with simply supported boundary conditions ...

An Extension of the Pasternak Foundation Concept
ABSTRACT The Pasternak Foundation concept, a refinement of the Winkler Foundation theory, is briefly stated and its shortcomings pointed out. The [concept is extended to take into account material nonlinearity and body forces using an analytical approach.

Static Analysis of Isotropic Beams Resting on Elastic Foundations of the Winkler-Pasternak Type
Beams resting on elastic foundations are widely used in engineering projects, so analyzing their displacement fields is very important. The present work presents solutions for the deflection of isotropic beams resting on elastic foundations of the ...

Hydroelastic oscillation of a plate resting on Pasternak foundation [PDF]
The bending oscillations of the plate, resting in Pasternak foundation and interacting with a vibrating stamp through a thin layer of viscous incompressible liquid, are investigated. On the basis of hydroelasticity problem solution, the laws of the plate deflections and pressure in the liquid are found.
