Eigenvector analysis of microstrip patch antennas
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium 1992 Digest, 1992Microstrip patch antennas are resonant antennas which are usually operated near a natural frequency. For isolated patch antennas which have simple geometries, the surface current distributions in the vicinity of these natural frequencies are, for the most part, known (or can be accurately approximated).

Numerical analysis of microstrip patch antennas
1989In this chapter, microstrip patch antennas are thin and lightweight radiating elements, formed by a substrate, including one or several dielectric layers, backed by a metallic sheet (the ground plane). Thin metallic patches (the radiating elements) are located on the air-substrate interface and, possibly, between the dielectric layers.

Patch-Based Data Analysis Using Linear-Projection Diffusion
2012To process massive high-dimensional datasets, we utilize the underlying assumption that data on a manifold is approximately linear in sufficiently small patches (or neighborhoods of points) that are sampled with sufficient density from the manifold. Under this assumption, each patch can be represented by a tangent space of the manifold in its area and ...

Operational research analysis of patch spraying
Crop Protection, 1993Abstract Sprays to control infestations of major cereal weeds such as wild oats and blackgrass are expensive and these weeds frequently appear to occur in patches. Spraying only those patches with weeds thus appears attractive from both an environmental and economic viewpoint.
