Dual-frequency broadband patch antenna with matched load and capacitive patch

2015 IEEE 6th International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation, and EMC Technologies (MAPE), 2015
In this paper, a dual-frequency broadband patch antenna with matched load and capacitive patch is proposed for GSM/DCS application. It is based on common patch antenna. In order to achieve the 900/1800MHz dual-band performance and directional radiation, the matched load and capacitive patch are added into modified antenna.

Novel Periodic Structures for a Slotline : Patch Loaded Slotline

IEICE Transactions on Electronics, 2005
SUMMARY In this Letter, a dumbbell-shaped patch loaded slotline(PLS) is proposed. Like the conventional defected ground structure(DGS) for a microstrip line, we show that the proposed PLS can provide a wide bandstop characteristic in some frequency bands with only one or small number of unit cells.

Dye loading with patch pipettes.

Cold Spring Harbor protocols, 2010
This protocol describes the loading of individual cells with fluorescent probes via patch pipettes. The patch-clamp methodology has been successfully used for single-cell dye labeling in cultured neurons, brain slices, and in vivo preparations. A broad range of dyes can be used with this loading technique. Markers for morphological reconstruction (e.g.,

Radiation by a magneto-dielectric loaded patch antenna

2009 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2009
Radiation by microstrip patch antennas have been studied for well over thirty years. Their popularity in array, especially for massive arrays, is due in no small part to their construction methods. They are, in the simplest configuration, a leaky capacitor consisting of a metallic patch sitting atop an electrically thin grounded dielectric slab.

Miniaturized circular patch antenna with metamaterial loading

2006 First European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2006
In this contribution, we present a possible implementation of a miniaturized circular patch antenna with metamaterial loading. In previous theoretical investigations we have already shown that it is possible to excite a resonant radiating mode in a circular patch by using an inhomogeneous substrate made of the combination of a regular dielectric and a ...

A capacitor-loaded broadband circular patch antenna

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 2001 Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.01CH37229), 2002
In a previous study, it was found that the operating frequency of a circular patch antenna could be varied as much as 65%, without significantly affecting the radiated power from the antenna using chip capacitor loaded scheme. In this study, a multiple feed scheme to combine with the loaded chip capacitor scheme is used to provide a broadband operation

Fabrication and Characterization of Microneedle Patches for Loading and Delivery of Exosomes

Journal of Visualized Experiments
Exosomes, as emerging "next-generation" biotherapeutics and drug delivery vectors, hold immense potential in diverse biomedical fields, ranging from drug delivery and regenerative medicine to disease diagnosis and tumor immunotherapy. However, the rapid clearance by traditional bolus injection and poor stability of exosomes restrict their clinical ...

An electrospun protein-and chromophore-loaded patch

2017
Laser-assisted vascular anastomosis (LAVA) is a technique to fuse blood vessels by using laser energy with possible applications in almost all medical fields. This technique is based on the energy absorption by a chromophore with subsequent heating of the underlying tissue. The focus of this thesis was the development of an electrospun solder patch and

Design of Miniaturized Metamaterial Patch Antennas With $\mu$-Negative Loading

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2008
Recent theoretical studies have shown that circular patch antennas loaded by an inhomogeneous substrate partially filled with a mu-negative (MNG) metamaterial may in principle support a resonant radiating mode, even if the total size of the radiator is significantly smaller than the wavelength of operation.
