Comparison of pavement surface texture determination by sand patch test and 3D laser scanning

open access: yes, 2012
A modern highway must be capable of proving traffic safety, comfort to passengers as well as efficient and economical transportation. In view of the increase in the number of traffic accidents due to the developments in automotive industry, the traffic ...

Targeting rapid TKI‐induced AXL upregulation overcomes adaptive ERK reactivation and exerts antileukemic effects in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

A high power diode laser (HPDL)-based technique for the bonding of composite patches to aluminium alloys on various military aircraft [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A rapid, effective and repeatable technique for repairing the damaged skins of various military aircraft, both fixed and rotary winged, using high power diode laser (HPDL) radiation is described herein.

Combined spatially resolved metabolomics and spatial transcriptomics reveal the mechanism of RACK1‐mediated fatty acid synthesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors analyzed the spatial distributions of gene and metabolite profiles in cervical cancer through spatial transcriptomic and spatially resolved metabolomic techniques. Pivotal genes and metabolites within these cases were then identified and validated.

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories predict survival in trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...

Maximizing Patch Coverage for Testing of Highly-Configurable Software without Exploding Build Times [PDF]

open access: yes
The Linux kernel is highly-configurable, with a build system that takes a configuration file as input and automatically tailors the source code accordingly. Configurability, however, complicates testing, because different configuration options lead to the inclusion of different code fragments.

Integrative systems‐level analysis reveals a contextual crosstalk between hypoxia and global metabolism in human breast tumors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast tumor samples scored for metabolic deregulation (M1 to M3) were given a hypoxia score (HS). The highest HS occurred in patients with strongest metabolic deregulation (M3), supporting tumor aggressiveness. HS correlated with the highest number of metabolic pathways in M1. This suggests hypoxia to be an early event in metabolic deregulation.

Integrative analysis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients: a comprehensive approach

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study simultaneously investigated circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients. The elevated expression of JUNB and CXCR4 in CTCs was a poor prognostic factor for SCLC patients, whereas exosomal overexpression of these biomarkers revealed a high discrimination ability of patients from healthy individuals,

Validation of Automatically Generated Patches: An Appetizer [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In the context of test case based automated program repair (APR), the research community call the patches that pass all the test cases but fail to actually fix the bug test case overfitted patches. Currently, overfitted patches has to be manually inspected by the users.
