The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Proposal for a revised international standard series of patch tests

open access: yes, 1997
Worldwide, there are 3 major standard series of patch tests, the European, North American and Japanese, together presenting 32 allergens, the differences between them being the result of regional variation in allergen distribution as well as differences ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Epidemiological Study of Periocular Dermatitis in a Specialised Hospital Department

open access: yesIranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, 2011
Contact dermatitis is frequent skin pathology and eyelids are one of the more frequent locations of this pathology. The objective of the present work was to study the population distribution of periocular dermatitis, determine the allergens which most ...

Diagnostics of cutaneous adverse drug reactions: evaluation of patch tests, lymphocyte transformation tests, and drug provocation tests

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Immunology and Allergy
BackgroundPatch tests (PT) and/or lymphocyte transformation tests (LTT) are typically performed, when diagnosed with cutaneous adverse drug reactions (CADR). However, their positivity rates can vary depending on the rash type.

Stamping a case of cutaneous adverse drug reaction: Proving beyond causality assessment

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dermatology, 2018
Different types of skin testing with a suspected drug have been reported to be helpful in determining the cause of cutaneous adverse drug reactions (CADRs).

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis induced by ceftriaxone with positive patch testing

open access: yes
Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a rare severe cutaneous reaction. In over 90% of patients it is an adverse reaction to drugs. Delayed-type (type IV) hypersensitivity seems to play an important role in its pathophysiology.

Baboon syndrome induced by hydroxyzine

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dermatology, 2013
Hydroxyzine-induced drug eruptions are very rare. We report here a typical case of drug-related Baboon syndrome or symmetrical drug-related intertriginous and flexural exanthema (SDRIFE) which was induced by hydroxyzine in a 60-year-old man.
