A Meaningful Indoor Path-Loss Formula
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013A simple indoor path-loss formula is proposed that is both simple and physically sound, as it accounts for major propagation processes taking place in indoor environment: namely wave-divergence and obstruction. The formula is shown to well reproduce the path-loss versus distance trend in different indoor environments.

Carrier Frequency Effects on Path Loss
2006 IEEE 63rd Vehicular Technology Conference, 2006To study the carrier frequency effects on path loss, measurements have been conducted at four discrete frequencies in the range 460-5100 MHz. The transmitter was placed on the roof of a 36 meters tall building and the receive antennas were placed on the roof of a van. Both urban and suburban areas were included in the measurement campaign.

Millimeter waves channel measurements and path loss models
2012 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2012This paper describes a measurement campaign performed in a modern building at the University of L'Aquila, Italy. Measurements are taken for two large bands around 60 GHz, i.e. 54–59 and 61–66 GHz. The channel probe is an ultrawideband (UWB) PN-sequence signal having a bandwidth of 1.2 GHz, which is up-converted to the 60 GHz band and finely tuned in ...

Path Loss For Short Range Telemetry
2007The popular Friis transmission formula is used to evaluate the amount of path loss in free space between the transmit and receive antennas for the design of wireless transceivers. It is could be also used to estimate the path loss for the link of the on-body network when there is no barrier and no body surface in between.

Quality of interference path loss measurements in aircraft
2017 IEEE 3rd Global Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference (GEMCCON), 2017Electromagnetic measurements in aircraft are performed for different purposes, e.g. assessing the interference potential of electronic devices, the antenna-to-antenna coupling or the behaviour of wireless links. In order to accomplish reliable and relevant evaluations, it is crucial that the quality of the measurement results should be considered. This
