MicroRNA-182-5p Regulates Nerve Injury–induced Nociceptive Hypersensitivity by Targeting Ephrin Type-b Receptor 1

Anesthesiology, 2017
Background: The authors and others have previously shown that the up-regulation of spinal ephrin type-b receptor 1 plays an essential role in the pathologic process of nerve injury–induced nociceptive hypersensitivity, but the regulatory mechanism ...

An experimental painful peripheral neuropathy due to nerve constriction

Experimental Neurology, 1992
A constriction injury to the sciatic nerve of the rat produces a painful peripheral neuropathy that is similar to the conditions seen in man. The pathology of the sciatic nerve in these animals was examined at 10 days postinjury, when the abnormal pain sensations are near maximal severity.

Reduced Hyperalgesia in Nerve-Injured WLD Mice: Relationship to Nerve Fiber Phagocytosis, Axonal Degeneration, and Regeneration in Normal Mice

Experimental Neurology, 1996
The pathogenesis of neuropathic pain states is influenced by inflammatory factors associated with nerve injuries and may be mediated in part by the macrophage-dependent process of Wallerian degeneration. Macrophages play a dominant role in the Wallerian (

A Clinico-pathological Conference on Constrictive Pericarditis Secondary to Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Case Report with Expert Commentary and Review of the Literature

Heart, Lung and Circulation, 2011
Constrictive pericarditis is the commonest cardiac complication of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Autoantibody against AT1 receptor from preeclamptic patients induces vasoconstriction through angiotensin receptor activation

Journal of Hypertension, 2008
Preeclampsia is a serious pathologic complication during pregnancy, and its pathogenesis remains poorly understood. Recent studies have demonstrated that autoantibodies against angiotensin II type 1A receptor (AT1-AA) are present in women with ...
