Case report: Clinical workflow considerations for treating soft-tissue sarcoma on a 1.5-T MR-Linac
We present specific issues that arose when using a 1.5-Tesla MR-Linac to treat a series of 4 soft-tissue sarcoma (STS) patients. These issues arose from the combination of typical STS attributes (long, off-axis target) and MR-Linac design-specific ...

Abstract Background Regulatory guidance in the United Kingdom advises DPYD genotyping prior to fluoropyrimidine‐based treatment. This economic evaluation estimated the costs and outcomes associated with DPYD screening prior to prescribing fluoropyrimidines for colorectal cancer in Wales and also considers additional variants to those included in ...

Portal Dosimetry as a patient specific Quality Assurance tool for Volumetric Arc Radiotherapy
Introduction: Volumetric Arc Radiotherapy (VMAT) is an advanced technique. Calculations of VMAT plans are not so accurate even with State-of-Art dose calculation algorithms due to their complexity.

Status and future of recombinant adeno‐associated virus vector manufacturing
Abstract Sixty years of adeno‐associated virus (AAV) research illustrates a trajectory marked by basic science exploration, iterative innovation, persistent challenges, a number of clinical setbacks, as well as commercial therapeutic triumphs. This continual evolution has led to recombinant AAV (rAAV) becoming a cornerstone of modern gene therapy ...

A patient-specific QA procedure for moving target irradiation in scanned ion therapy
Three-dimensional (3D) pencil-beam scanning technique has been utilized since 2011 in NIRS-HIMAC. Beam delivery system and treatment planning software (TPS) require dosimetric patient-specific QA to check each individual plan.

Ketogenic diet for infantile epileptic spasms
Abstract Approximately half of all cases of Infantile Epileptic Spasms Syndrome (IESS) do not respond to vigabatrin and hormonal therapies. There is no clear consensus as to the second‐line therapy for IESS. Ketogenic diet (KD) has emerged as an effective treatment for certain drug‐resistant epilepsies and in many cases of IESS.

An Evaluation of The Consistency of Imrt Patient-Specific Qa Techniques
To ensure the integrity of an intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) treatment, each plan must be validated through a measurement-based quality assurance (QA) procedure, known as patient specific IMRT QA.
