Pattern-Reversal Electroretinograms in Unilateral Glaucoma

open access: yes, 1983
Pattern-reversal and flash electroretinograms (ERG) and oscillatory potentials (OP) were recorded from 11 patients with unilateral glaucoma. All glaucomatous eyes had reduced amplitudes both compared to the opposite eye in the same patient and to reference values. In 10 of the 11 cases this reduction was below the level of normal variation.

Role of pattern and multifocal electroretinogram for macular evaluation in patients with multiple sclerosis treated with fingolimod

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society
Objective To detect the role of pattern electroretinogram (PERG) and multifocal electroretinogram (MfERG) for macular function evaluation in patients with relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RR-MS) treated by fingolimod.

Structural and functional assessment of ganglion cell complex in patients on long-term hydroxychloroquine

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology
Purpose: Long-term hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) treatment has been shown to be associated with structural changes (reduced thickness) of ganglion cell complex (GCC). This study evaluated if these structural changes of GCC translate to functional deficits and

Detection of Retinal Dysfunction with Multimodal PERG Analysis: A Patient-Level Hybrid Machine Learning Framework

open access: yesEngineering Perspective
Pattern electroretinogram (PERG) is the standard for assessing retinal ganglion cell function. However, the low amplitude and complex waveform of PERG signals complicate clinical interpretation.
