Visual pattern recognition by restricted visual field.

Size scaling in visual pattern recognition. [PDF]
Human visual recognition on the basis of shape but regardless of size was investigated by reaction time methods. For successive matching of random figures, reaction time increased linearly with the linear size ratio of stimulus pairs. For single-character classification, reaction time increased with divergence between cued size format and stimulus ...

Influence of kinship and MHC class II genotype on visual traits in zebrafish larvae (Danio rerio). [PDF]
Kin recognition can drive kin selection and the evolution of social behaviour. In zebrafish (Danio rerio, Hamilton 1822), kin recognition is based on olfactory and visual imprinting processes.

Visual imagery of faces and cars in face-selective visual areas. [PDF]
Neuroimaging provides a unique tool to investigate otherwise difficult-to-access mental processes like visual imagery. Prior studies support the idea that visual imagery is a top-down reinstatement of visual perception, and it is likely that this extends

BBN: Bilateral-Branch Network With Cumulative Learning for Long-Tailed Visual Recognition [PDF]
Our work focuses on tackling the challenging but natural visual recognition task of long-tailed data distribution (i.e., a few classes occupy most of the data, while most classes have rarely few samples). In the literature, class re-balancing strategies (

Electric Source Localization Adds Evidence for Task-Specific CNVs
This study was an attempt to replicate recent magnetoencephalographic (MEG) findings on human task-specific CNV sources (Basile et al., Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology 90, 1994, 157–165) by means of a spatio-temporal electric source ...
