Array pattern control and synthesis
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1992Antenna array distributions and their associated patterns are now designed on physical principles, based on placement of zeros of the array polynomial. An overview of the synthesis processes is given. Robust and low Q distributions for linear arrays and circular planar arrays that provide variable sidelobe level pencil beam patterns are treated in ...

Relational Synthesis for Pattern Matching
2020We present a completely declarative approach to synthesizing pattern matching construct implementations based on application of relational programming, a specific form of constraint logic programming. Our approach is based on relational representations of both the high-level semantics of pattern matching and the semantics of an intermediate-level ...

Biogenetically Patterned Synthesis of Cadambine
Planta Medica, 1990Abstract We report the synthesis of the glucosidic indole alkaloid cadambine (5) in 48% yield from its biological precursor secologanin (1) in an intermolecular variant of the in vivo process where chemoselective and regioselective attack by tryptamine on a 3S-epoxide 11 yields the seven-membered azepine ring.

Pattern-Mining for Behavioral Synthesis
IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 2011Pattern-based synthesis has drawn wide interest from researchers who tried to utilize the regularity in applications for design optimizations. In this letter, we present a general pattern-based behavior synthesis framework which can efficiently extract similar structures in programs.

By–example synthesis of curvilinear structured patterns
Computer Graphics Forum, 2013AbstractMany algorithms in Computer Graphics require to synthesize a pattern along a curve. This is for instance the case with line stylization, to decorate objects with elaborate patterns (chains, laces, scratches), or to synthesize curvilinear features such as mountain ridges, rivers or roads. We describe a simple yet effective method for this problem.
