Evaluation of the cognitive outcome after out‐of‐hospital cardiac arrest: The role of thalamus

In this study, 25 survivors of an out‐of‐hospital cardiac arrest were included. Eleven of them exhibited persistent cognitive disorders beyond 3 months after the cardiac event. Acute vascular cerebral lesions and global cerebral volume reduction did not seem sufficient to explain cognitive impairments.
