Full Polarimetric Scattering Matrix Estimation with Single-Channel Echoes via Time-Varying Polarization Modulation

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Polarimetric information is essential for scattering interpretation and target characterization in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) remote sensing, yet many resource-constrained platforms (e.g., small satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)) operate

Walsh series and Pauli decompositions: representing functions on a quantum system

open access: yes
The Pauli decomposition of quantum operators is of prime importance to many quantum algorithms, but computing it numerically often incurs an exponential cost in the number of qubits. In this work, we extend the connection between Pauli decompositions of operators on qubit-based quantum systems and the Walsh L2-basis defined from dyadic rationals.

Fe 3d Orbital Evolution in Ferrocene Ionization: Insights from ΔSCF, EOES, and Orbital Momentum Distribution

open access: yesMolecules
The ionization of ferrocene (Fc) remains an active topic of interest due to its complex, ulti-electron character. Accurate prediction of its first ionization potential (IP) requires methods that go beyond single-particle approximations, as Koopmans ...

Trotterization scheme and Pauli decomposition for the two-body Schrödinger equation

open access: yes
In this paper, we propose a quantum implementation of the discretization of the Schrödinger evolution of a two particle system in a polylog number of elementary gates. We establish a CFL condition between the space and time discretizations to ensure that the Trotterization errors are consistent.

FCC Lattice Geometry and Particle Mode Decomposition from the SU(2) Pauli-Clifford Algebra

open access: yes
We demonstrate that the face-centred cubic (FCC) lattice geometry postulated as the ground state of the Field of Resonance (FoR) substrate field is not an assumption but a necessary consequence of the Pauli-Clifford algebra C₃,₀ — the algebraic structure of the SU(2) preon field. Five results are established: (i) the 12 FCC nearest-neighbour directions
