Klebsiella sp. strain B7 enhances alkaline tolerance by secreting pyruvic acid to accelerate L‐malic acid accumulation in soybean

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 68, Issue 6, Page 1727-1743, June 2026.
Klebsiella sp. strain B7 acts as a positive regulator in alkaline stress responses in soybean. By activating pyruvic acid metabolism and L‐malic acid biosynthesis pathways, B7 significantly increases alkaline tolerance and yield in soybean. ABSTRACT Alkaline stress is a major constraint on crop growth and development and negatively impacts soybean ...

Structure‐guided optimization of SLY1 expression and purification in Escherichia coli

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract The SCFSLY1 ubiquitin ligase complex is a key regulator of gibberellin signaling, mediating the degradation of DELLA proteins through targeted ubiquitination. To enable detailed biochemical and structural studies of this complex, efficient recombinant production of SLY1 and its adaptor ASK1 is essential.

Thermoanalytical techniques applied to the solid-state characterization of atorvastatin calcium trihydrate form I

open access: yesChemical Thermodynamics and Thermal Analysis
Atorvastatin calcium trihydrate (ACT) is a synthetic lipid-lowering agent whose thermal character remains largely unknown or else mischaracterized due to being called both “atorvastatin” and “atorvastatin form I” indiscriminately in the literature ...

When Net‐Zero Goals Meet Zero‐Sum Realities: New Insights on the CSR‐Firm Value Effect and the Role of New Product Development Versus Marketing

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, Volume 43, Issue 3, Page 516-538, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Academic Summary Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a key strategy to achieving (e.g., environmental) sustainability. While many studies report a positive effect of CSR on firm value, growing evidence suggests practice often fails to unlock such effect.

Noise Fingerprints as a Quantitative Order Parameter for Polarization‐ and Defect‐Mediated Switching in Hafnia Ferroelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 21, 13 April 2026.
Low‐frequency noise fingerprints in hafnia ferroelectrics provide a quantitative handle to resolve the long‐standing debate between polarization‐mediated and defect‐mediated switching. By tuning oxygen vacancy density via ALD O3 dose time and applying a physically constrained deconvolution, we extract bias‐resolved current fractions for both mechanisms

Bayesian Ordered Lattice Design for Phase I Clinical Trials

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 6-7, March 2026.
ABSTRACT We develop a new framework specifically for early Phase I clinical trials called Bayesian Ordered Lattice Design (BOLD). This study is motivated by two key factors. First, Phase I clinical trials typically involve relatively small sample sizes, which can make the use of prior information on dose‐limiting toxicity (DLT) rates highly significant.

PaVa: A novel path-based valley-seeking clustering algorithm

open access: yesInformation Sciences
Clustering methods are being applied to a wider range of scenarios involving more complex datasets, where the shapes of clusters tend to be arbitrary. In this paper, we propose a novel Path-based Valley-seeking clustering algorithm for arbitrarily shaped clusters. This work aims to seek the valleys among clusters and then individually extract clusters.
