Utilisation of Artificial Neural Network for the Analysis Of Interlayer Shear Properties

open access: yesThe Baltic Journal of Road and Bridge Engineering, 2013
For a long time artificial intelligence tools were not used in pavement engineering, but their application is becoming more and more important. As opposed to other subjects in pavement engineering this is not yet the case for interlayer bonding.

Coupling Anodic Activity and Stability at Ni‐Based Non‐Oxide Catalysts via Coordinating Alcohol Oxidation and Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A cooperative and competitive interrelationship between alcohol oxidation (AOR) and water oxidation (OER) was observed on a typical anode catalyst of Ni2P. In situ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical analyses revealed a specific complementary mechanism between them, in which OER and AOR critically contribute to the activity and stability of anodic ...

Redirecting Nano‐Silicon Agglomeration: Dual‐Carbon Design Triggers Self‐Adaptive Nanoporous Si Sponge for Enhanced Lithium Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study addresses silicon anode degradation using an engineered nSi/Gr/C dual‐carbon matrix. By restricting SEI infiltration, the architecture redirects silicon agglomeration into a beneficial structural self‐adaptive activation. During cycling, silicon nanoparticles self‐organize into a resilient nanoporous sponge. This dynamic network accommodates

Integration of Non-Destructive Testing Technologies for Effective Monitoring and Evaluation of Road Pavements

open access: yesNDT - Journal of Non-Destructive Testing
The successful management of road pavement maintenance requires the existence of suitable monitoring procedures for assessing pavement condition. A powerful tool for this is the use of non-destructive testing technologies.

Synthesis of AgBiS2 and AgInS2 Based on Formation Energies in Sulfur‐Rich Reducing Flame

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐surface‐area AgInS2 and AgBiS2 nanoparticles were synthesized via enclosed flame spray pyrolysis by tuning flame conditions and formation energies to guide phase formation. Flame parameters were tuned to suppress oxides and enable pure sulfide phase growth.

An In Situ Oxidation Strategy for Ti3C2@TiO2 Heterojunction: Narrow‐Band Photodetection and Trace Chromium Ion Determination

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Ti3C2@TiO2 heterostructure has been successfully fabricated by an in situ oxidation approach. The as‐fabricated Ti3C2@TiO2‐based photodetector exhibits narrow‐spectrum response with excellent stability. It also realizes sensitive Cr(VI) detection in a large concentration range of 10−12–10−6 M with an ultra‐low detection limit of 7.6 × 10−12 M ...
