The aim of the present work was to determine the effect of the simultaneous adsorption of lead(II)-cadmium(II), lead(II)-phenol, and cadmium(II)-phenol by activated carbon cloths (ACCs). Three commercial ACCs were characterized and tested for individual metal adsorption, and competitive adsorption experiments were carried out with the best ACC (AW1104).

The sorption of metal ions on silica with covalently grafted propylthioethyleamine groups was studied. Quantitative sorption is observed at ???? 6.5 (Cu), ???? 5.5 (Pb), ???? 7 (Zn and Cd). It was stated that composition of complexes that are formed at the surface is ML (for Zn and Cd) and ML??? (for Cu and Pb). The detection limit obtained by sorption

Arabidopsis ACBP1 overexpressors ore Pb(II)-tolerant and accumulate Pb(II)
2012In our recent paper in the Plant Journal, we demonstrated that Arabidopsis thaliana acyl-CoA-binding protein ACBP1 binds lead [Pb(II)], its mRNA is induced by Pb(II)-treatment and transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing ACBP1 are conferred Pb(II) tolerance and accumulate Pb(II).

Crystal and morphological phase transformation of Pb(II) to Pb(IV) in chlorinated water☆
Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2009Herein, we show an important transformation of Pb(II) to Pb(IV) in chlorinated water under laboratory conditions. The study results will give an insight toward understanding how corrosion by-products on lead materials found in drinking water distribution systems develop and breakdown with time. The experiments were conducted to elucidate the morphology

The paper proposes the results of studies conducted in order to optimize the removal of ions Pb (II) and Cd (II) process using polyhexamethylene guanidine (PGMG) from aqueous solutions. It is observed using the methods of polarography, infrared spectroscopy, pH meters that the formation of compounds of chemisorptions type of ions of metals is putted in,
