Pb(II)-translocating P-type ATPases [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1998
The cad operon of Staphylococcus aureus plasmid pI258, which confers cadmium resistance, encodes a transcriptional regulator, CadC, and CadA, an ATP-coupled Cd(II) pump that is a member of the superfamily of cation-translocating P-type ATPases. The Escherichia coli homologue of CadA, termed ZntA, is a Zn(II)/Cd(II) pump.

Biosorption of Aqueous Pb(II) by a Metabolically Inactive Industrial Klebsiella Pneumoniae Strain

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2022
A microbial consortium which was obtained from lead contaminated soil at a battery recycling plant in South Africa was previously proved to be effective at removing approximately 50% of Pb(II) from solution within the first 3 h at 80 and 500 ppm Pb(II ...

An MXene-Grafted Terpolymer Hydrogel for Adsorptive Immobilization of Toxic Pb(II) and Post-Adsorption Application of Metal Ion Hydrogel

open access: yesGels, 2023
Toxic metal ions present in industrial waste, such as Pb(II), introduce deleterious effects on the environment. Though the adsorptive removal of Pb(II) is widely reported, there is a dearth of research on the suitable utilization and disposal of the Pb ...

Physiological and proteomic responses of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii to arsenate and lead mixtures

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2022
Arsenic (As) and lead (Pb) are frequently emitted from various sources into environment, but microbial responses to their combined toxicity have not been systematically investigated.
