Modulation of PBMC-decay accelerating factor (PBMC-DAF) and cytokines in rheumatoid arthritis
Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 2016Studies have suggested that abnormal expression of complement regulatory proteins and cytokines contribute significantly to the path-physiology of rheumatoid arthritis. In this context, Decay accelerating factor (DAF) a complement regulatory protein is gaining increased attention.

Single-cell mRNA Profiles in PBMC
2020 IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BIBM), 2020We developed a method for building gene expression profiles from single-cell gene expression matrices. We named these profiles the “single-cell-derived-class” or SCDC profiles. They represent characteristic patterns of gene expressions of the types and subtypes of cells derived from single-cell transcriptome experiments.

HGV RNA sequences in liver and PBMC
Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 2001HGV has been identified in patients with chronic hepatitis of unknown aetiology and the possibility that HGV may be the cause has been raised. We have analysed liver biopsies and PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cells) from 80 patients with chronic hepatitis and HGV-RNA in serum by PCR.

Transcriptomes of whole blood and PBMC in chickens
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part D: Genomics and Proteomics, 2016Global transcriptome analysis of chicken whole blood to discover biomarkers of different phenotypes or physiological disorders has never been investigated so far. Whole blood provides significant advantages, allowing large scale and non-invasive sampling.

PBMCs: a new source of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers
Archives of Physiology and Biochemistry, 2020There are various types of molecular biomarkers that are derived from distinct starting materials. Although many indirect biomarkers are found in blood, their detection remains a challenging issue because of the high degree of fragmentation, minute quantity and a vast amount of non-specific background.

Estrogen enhances immunoglobulin production by human PBMCs
Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 1999It has been suggested that estrogen may enhance humoral immune responses and may be involved in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. We studied the in vitro effects of 17beta-estradiol (E2 ) on spontaneous immunoglobulin production by human PBMCs.PBMCs from healthy human volunteers were cultured with E2.

Postmenopausal osteoporosis PBMCs transcriptome
2022The PBMCs derived from 206 postmenopausal women ( including 124 osteoporosis and 82 controls ) were sampled for RNA sequencing, and then systematic analysis to portray transcriptiome profile.

Harmonized analysis of PBMC by mass cytometry
Mass cytometry permits the high dimensional analysis of cellular systems at single-cell resolution with high throughput in various areas of biomedical research. Here, we provide a state-of-the-art protocol for the analysis of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) by mass cytometry.Axel R, Schulz +3 more
