FinTech and Environmental Sustainability: Evidence From Brazil

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study explores the dynamic interplay between economic growth and environmental sustainability from a FinTech perspective, using Brazil as a case study. While FinTech's contribution to green transformation, sustainable finance, and resource efficiency has gained increasing attention, a notable lack of empirical research remains to assess ...

Defect‐Healed Perovskite Quantum Dots for Optoelectronic Applications in Indoor Photovoltaics and Photoplethysmography

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A novel dispersion‐phase defect‐healing strategy using Br‐doped PbS quantum dots (QDs) significantly stabilizes CsPbI3 perovskite (Pe) QDs by passivating internal vacancies. This approach reduces trap‐assisted nonradiative recombination, enabling high‐performance indoor photovoltaics with exceptional stability.

Láminas delgadas ferroeléctricas de titanato de plomo modificado con un 20% de lantano

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio, 1999
Lanthanum modified lead titanate ferroelectric thin films with a composition Pb0.7La0.2TiO3 have been prepared by a diol based sol-gel technique. The effect on the film structure, microstructure and composition of the initial PbO content, from the ...

Stoichiometry‐Driven Interdependencies in PECVD a‐SiNx:H Films: Linking Hydrogen Behavior, Optical Properties, and c‐Si Solar Cell Performance

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Stoichiometry control in PECVD a‐SiNx:H films governs hydrogen bonding, film mass density, optical response, and metallization‐induced shunting in crystalline silicon solar cells. Balanced SiH4/NH3 flow defines a practical processing window that improves passivation while limiting reflection, absorption, and Ag‐related leakage.

TRM‐to‐concrete interface bond without anchors: Combined experimental, analytical, and numerical modeling approach

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Textile reinforced mortar (TRM) systems have emerged as an effective alternative to conventional FRP strengthening solutions due to their compatibility with concrete substrates and favorable performance under adverse environmental conditions.

Why Settle for the Status Quo? A Critical Assessment of Pension Liability Measurement Under IFRS and US GAAP

open access: yesAbacus, EarlyView.
Relevance and faithful representation are identified by standard‐setters as fundamental qualitative characteristics for useful accounting information. We critically assess whether current pension measurement guidance under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) results in pension ...

(Pb,Ca)TiO3 ferroelectric thin films have been spin-coated on Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si(100) substrates from sol-gel synthesized solutions. Selecting the solution concentrations and the excess of PbO content, stoichiometric composicion with reduced strains are ...

Integrating novel therapeutic strategies in myeloproliferative neoplasms: Driving disease‐directed progress

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Over the past decade, there has been a substantial increase in the diversity and number of therapeutic options for myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). While many remain within the clinical trial arena, the clinician and patient community have seen more approvals reaching the clinic and a rethink on how best we should be approaching these ...

Quantitative Metrics for Edge Bundling of Network Visualizations

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Edge bundling is widely used for reducing visual clutter in large 2D network and trajectory visualizations. Various edge bundling methods have been proposed, each producing qualitatively distinct outputs for the same data; however, few quantitative metrics exist for systematic evaluation. In this paper, we propose a set of quantitative metrics
