The PT/PZT/PT and PZT thin films were prepared by sol-gel method. Different Pb content (x) (x=0, 005, 010, 015, 020) were added in excess to the PT precursor to optimize PT seed layer. The XRD and AFM results show that the crystalline phase and microstructure of the films were greatly affected by the excess Pb content (x) in PT layers.

Domain Wall Orientations in Ferroelectric Superlattices Probed with Synchrotron X-Ray Diffraction
Ferroelectric domains in PbTiO$_3$/SrTiO$_3$ superlattices were studied using synchrotron X-ray diffraction. Macroscopic measurements revealed a change in the domain wall orientation from $\left\lbrace 100 \right\rbrace $ to $\left\lbrace 110 \right ...

First Principles Theories of Piezoelectric Materials
Piezoelectrics have long been studied using parameterized models fit to experimental data, starting with the work of Devonshire in 1954. Much has been learned using such approaches, but they can also miss major phenomena if the materials properties are ...
