Photocatalytic Overall Water Splitting over PbTiO3 Modulated by Oxygen Vacancy and Ferroelectric Polarization.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2022
Ferroelectric materials hold great promise in the field of photocatalytic water splitting due to their spontaneous polarization that sets up an inherent internal field for the spatial separation of photogenerated charges.

Antiferroelectriclike hysteresis loops in PbTiO3/BiFeO3/PbTiO3 sandwich structural film

Solid State Communications, 2008
Abstract PbTiO3/BiFeO3/PbTiO3 sandwich structure has been deposited on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrate by sol-gel method annealing at 600 ∘C. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the film was fully crystallized with no impure phase. Antiferroelectriclike hysteresis loop was observed at room temperature under low applied field. Under high applied electric

Giant piezoelectricity of Sm-doped Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 single crystals

Science, 2019
Samarium supersensors Piezoelectric materials produce electric charge in response to changes in stress and are thus good sensor materials. One challenge has been growing single-crystal piezoelectrics with uniform properties.

Absence of a PbTiO3 phase transition in PbTiO3/BaTiO3 superlattices

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2001
Abstract We have performed X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy on three PbTiO 3 /BaTiO 3 superlattices (PTO/BTO) from room temperature (RT) to 600°C. The superlattices were 4000 A thick and the modulation wavelengths Λ, with equally thick layers of PTO and BTO, were 136, 187 and 357 A.

Impact of alternating current electric field poling on piezoelectric and dielectric properties of Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3–Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 ferroelectric crystals

Journal of Applied Physics, 2020
Compared with the state-of-the-art Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 ceramics, relaxor-PbTiO3 (PT) based ferroelectric single crystals possess much higher piezoelectricity, thus receiving considerable attention from the ferroelectric community. Recently, it was found that the

Sol-gel-derived PbTiO3

Journal of Materials Science, 1985
The sol-gel process is a technique which is applicable for forming ceramic materials. In this process, liquid precursor materials are reacted to form a sol which then polymerizes into an inorganic polymeric gel. Advantages of this process over standard powder preparation of ceramics are: purity, homogeneity, control of macro- and micro-structures, and ...
