This work focuses on the complex ferroelastic/ferroelectric domain structure in the prototypical ferroelectric PbTiO3 epitaxially strained on (110)o-oriented DyScO3 substrates, with a 22 nm-thick bottom SrRuO3 electrode. High quality epitaxial growth has

Sol-gel processing and physic-chemical characterization of La and Ce doped lead titanate ceramics
PbTiO3 (PT) sol gel processed powders doped with lanthanum (PLT14) and cerium (PLCexT14, x = 1; 3; 6; 10) were characterized by XRD and Raman spectroscopy. The samples crystallize in a pure perovskite phase at temperatures smaller than those reported for

Tuning of the depolarization field and nanodomain structure in ferroelectric thin films
The screening efficiency of a metal-ferroelectric interface plays a critical role in determining the polarization stability and hence the functional properties of ferroelectric thin films.

Improving the Functional Control of Aged Ferroelectrics using Insights from Atomistic Modelling [PDF]
We provide a fundamental insight into the microscopic mechanisms of the ageing processes. Using large scale molecular dynamics simulations of the prototypical ferroelectric material PbTiO3, we demonstrate that the experimentally observed ageing phenomena

Implications of Transient Negative Capacitance Effect in Ferroelectric Polarization Dynamics
Transient voltage artifacts observed during ferroelectric switching are shown to originate from measurement circuitry rather than intrinsic negative capacitance. By correlating switching current, time scale, and series resistance, this work establishes practical design rules for reliable pulse‐switching experiments and circuit integration of ...

Realizing negative thermal expansion over an extended temperature range in PbTiO3-based perovskites
Negative thermal expansion (NTE) is fascinating, as it involves a material’s volume contraction rather than expansion upon heating. Although NTE lattices typically have highly flexible frameworks, the magnitude of NTE is often very small, and they ...

We discovered novel materials with giant dielectric constants by combining first‐principles phonon calculations and machine learning. Screening 525 perovskites identified six candidates. RbNbO3 was synthesized under pressure and showed ε ≈ 800–1000. This validates our framework as a powerful tool for high‐performance dielectric materials discovery.

Preparation and characterization of PbTi0(3) ceramics modified by a natural mixture of rare earth oxides of xenotime [PDF]
Lead titanate ceramics modified by xenotime (Xm) with nominal composition (Pb, Xm)TiO3, Xm 10 or 15 mol %, were prepared by the conventional oxide mixture technique. Xenotime is a natural mineral consisting of a mixture of rare earth oxides.
